An Afternoon of Tea Leaf Reading

What awaits you at the bottom of the cup? By popular demand, guest teacher Katie Rattigan returns in August for a fun and enchanting foray into the world of tea leaf reading. Raise a pinkie and bring a friend— it’s time to spill the tea!

Tea leaf reading is a delightful divinatory tradition that has been passed down from grandmothers to granddaughters for generations. Primarily a social form of divination, tea leaf reading is best done in a group of friendly participants who can help one another interpret the signs and discuss what they might portend for your future. Similar to aeromancy (finding shapes in the clouds), tea leaf reading is a form of divination that is accessible to anyone willing to awaken their intuitive, creative mind— including brand new beginners! Guest teacher Katie Rattigan will lead you through the playful process of brewing and sipping your tea, and help you to interpret the symbols that the leaves form in the bottom of your cup.

No experience required; tea and supplies will be provided.
