Intro to Beekeeping
Time & Location
About The Event
Join apiarist Tina Lindsay to learn about the art of beekeeping and the science of these magical creatures. Beehives are usually ordered in January, and installed in the spring. If you choose, Tina will help you to make a purchase of your own beehive at this event, and will return to help you install it in the spring. She will also offer a year of support through Skype or phone calls in case you have questions about how to care for your hive. Don't miss this unique opportunity to learn how to foster your own bees, or simply to gain an appreciation of those who do!
Cost: $35/sign up
Please park on the street for this event. Street parking is free in the evenings, so you do not have to feed the meters. Do not follow Google map instructions to drive around to the back parking lot; that lot will not be available for use. Thank you!
Please note that we are willing to secure an ASL interpreter upon request, please give us some advance notice.
A few stairs are involved in the entrance to the space. The space has plenty of comfortable seating, and a coffee & tea station.
