About the event
Have you been hoping to attend one of our Intro to Tarot workshops? Or perhaps you have joined before us and are eager to learn more? MoonHaven School of Magic is so pleased to return to Roots & River in order to offer a deep dive into the complete tarot deck, card for card.
Archetypes are all around us: sun and moon, inner child, young lovers, tricksters, sages/mentors, wise old women & men, and many more. These recognizable characters are most often seen in myths and stories that explain simple but profound truths about what it is to be human. The tarot is like an unbound book -- cards decorated with archetypes and events that are free to rearrange themselves to tell a different story every time. Since the subconscious speaks in myths, dreams, and symbols, tarot is one of the most elegant ways in which that deep part of ourselves can speak to us and make itself known.
Over the course of six consecutive Sunday afternoons together, we will explore all four suits and the master suit knows as the Major Arcana, the 16 court cards that represent different characters and personalities, and offer a new layout of cards, known as a spread, every time we get together. There will be time for lecture, discussion, practice with other students, and deep personal introspection. Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to get to know the tarot and, more importantly, yourself.
Bring a journal and your imagination-- we look forward to seeing you there!
Six (6) Sundays - February 10th - March 17th
Cost: $250 for all 6 weeks or $225 for 5 weeks if you have already taken the Intro to Tarot workshop and prefer to not repeat it (though repetition of the intro course can be super helpful in deepening understanding)
